Hopefully it's only Netscape. But I had a couple of developers contact
me several months ago to get the specs for how we implementing search at
the time so it could be more. Either way though, you have several
hundred servers (at least) out there and many thousands of clients who
speak a different SEARCH than what the spec is doing. 

I know protocol-purity says "let 'em break" but I can't see doing that
when the solution is so simple and easy.
